Bowl #2 - Speckled Blush
Description:
I love a tall bowl with a narrow foot, slightly less obviously functional so bridging the gap between the decorative and functional. That’s not to say they serve no purpose, perfect for the table and in use but the tall, steeped curve allows beautifully for the observation of tones and texture created by the glaze. These bowls were the result of a happy accident in the summer where and unexpected result of adding iron spangles to my usual white clay combined with the blush glaze resulted in peachy tones with this feathering effect where the iron spangles have melted in the glaze.

Glaze:
Blush, a beautiful off white with flashes of plaster pink on a smooth white stoneware with a lovely satin texture. Long loved and used by me there is a wonderful depth to this glaze.
